Control Deck, as well as the other products in the Control Ecosystem are the result of a collaboration between Ignite Digi and our friend Tad Errey (Signal Audio), who is based in Melbourne, Australia. Tad is the programming wizard that enables seemingly disparate products like DJI Transmission and Tilta Nucleus, to all play nice together! 🔥
Welcome to the Control Deck Manual. This document is continuously updated as new functions, firmware and accompanying products are released. You can export this as a PDF via the â‹® in the top right. If possible, we recommend you reference the site though, as then it will never be out of date!

Cheese Block Mounted to the back of Control Deck, you will find the Cheese Block. Designed for solid mounting to light stand or other baby pin (5/8" / 16mm) and hex pin spigots.
If you're not running the Pro-Workflow monitor mount, then use the top ¼”-20” or ⅜"-16” threaded holes with Pin-Locks to mount a monitor arm. If not using a stand, you can mount an Arca Swiss or similar tripod plate to the ¼”-20” or ⅜"-16” threaded holes underneath. This may not work, depending on battery plate choice.

The ultra-compact RovyVon Aurora A3 (Gen4) USB-C Flashlight features an aluminium case, impressive 5000K LED with 90+ CRI, max brightness of 650 lumens and four brightness settings - moonlight, low, medium, and high.
How to use the Aurora A3 Flashlight:
1) Lock: rapid click 5 times, the emitter blinks twice.
2) Unlock: rapid click 5 times when the light is locked, the emitter blinks 3 times.
3) Constant on: rapid double click to turn on from the memorised mode, then single click to cycle through moon-low-med-high; press the button for 0.5s to turn off.
***Memory is stored when the flashlight remains on for 3+ minutes.
4) Emergency mode: rapid triple click to turn on the strobe mode, then click to turn off.
The custom made 12-inch / 30cm USB-C Gooseneck keeps the flashlight battery charged and in a pinch could be used to charge a device like a Tentacle Sync or phone.
It plugs into the 30W USB-C Output at the left rear of the case. This deep recessed pocket supports the connector and prevents damage to the port.
Designed for solid mounting to light stand or other baby pin (5/8"/16mm) and hex pin spigots. If you're not running the Pro-Workflow monitor mount, then use the ¼”-20” or ⅜"-16” threaded holes with Pin-Locks to mount a monitor arm.
The 4-inch Tilting NATO Rail allows you to adjust for viewing comfort, and the two bolts attaching the High-Bright Monitor cage ensure no twist.

Control Deck FAQ
In FCC mode, the High-Bright should have more range than the RC Plus, with higher gain in it's TX for control, plus the ability to separate the antennas and get them above head height. In CE/SRRC/MIC mode, they both have the same limits. In reality, we have found that the Inspire 3 throttles the transmission data rate to both RC Plus and High-bright simultaneously to keep connection. So you should have connection on both until you don't have any connection at all. Transmission info from DJI: RC Plus 2.4 GHz: <26 dBm (FCC), <20 dBm (CE/SRRC/MIC) 5.1 GHz (FPV camera video feed): <26 dBm (FCC), <23 dBm (CE/SRRC/MIC) 5.8 GHz: <26 dBm (FCC/SRRC), <14 dBm (CE)
High-Bright 2.4 GHz: <33 dBm (FCC), <20 dBm (CE/SRRC/MIC) 5.8 GHz: <33 dBm (FCC), <14 dBm (CE), <23 dBm (SRRC)
Underneath the Control Deck, showing battery plate (V-Mount, Gold Mount, TB50, TB51), rubber feet and serial number plate. The battery plates use a 3-pin Molex connector, making them user swappable.
6-PIN LEMO DC IN - 11-17V input for external powering of Control Deck and it's accessory ports. Wiring is the same as DJI Transmission and RED DSMC1/2/3 cameras, so if you have any D-tap or 4-pin XLR cables to those cameras, you can use on this port. It's also where the 90W AC Adapter plugs in!
USB-C 30W output This port is recessed to support the USB-C Gooseneck Flashlight, but it also is great for charging iPhones, iPads or even the pilot's RC Plus! Not every USB-C cable will fit into the recessed hole. DJI, Apple and other thin cables will work nicely.
6-PIN LEMO TRANSMISSION - 11-17V and CANBUS out for external powering and control data to the DJI High-Bright. Wiring is the same as DJI Transmission, so any male to female 6-pin 1B Lemo cable, made for DJI Transmission or Control Deck, will work.
7-PIN LEMO TILTA - 11-17V out and data for FIZBUSTER functionality. Only on Control Deck's with serial number #0100 and above have this. Plug in Tilta Nucleus-M I or II hand unit to Control Deck, allowing you to hand off FIZ to 1st AC. Alternatively, mount a Nucleus-M I (II motors don't work yet, Tilta have to do a firmware update) and use that as a wireless hub to connect hand unit via Tilta's 2.4ghz link. This port will output 11-17V to power the Nucleus-M Hand Unit, plus data connection between them.
2-PIN LEMO POWER - 11-17V out for powering accessories such as SmallHD monitor, where you may have given the 1st AC the DJI monitor for focus overlays. Rated up to 5 amp draw. Control Deck's with serial number #0100 and above you will have one 2-pin port. Control Deck's with serial number #0001 - #0099, you will have two 2-pin ports.
USB-C for computer connection - Data only, no power out This port connects to your computer, allowing firmware updates or to be used as a controller for applications like Cam Op Simulator. The small button above is to put the Controller into firmware flashing mode.
This is in order as you will see it on the Control Deck when connected to a Ronin 4D or Inspire 3
Control Deck remembers it's previous settings when power cycling, or you reconnect to a device type. Example: Going between 4D and Ronin 2, any 4D specific settings will be remembered for when you connect back to it.

Focus Knob Cal.
Calibrate
This calibrates the focus knob on the Control Deck, not the FIZ motors! Turn the Focus Knob to each end gently until it says Complete. You may find it says Complete after just a partial movement, this is because it's tracking the endpoints in the background even when you're not in the menu. It will only calibrate for the full range of the knob.
Shake Mode
1 / 2 / 3
Change the shake algorithm
Shake On Move
On / Off
On: Shake will continue on all axes, regardless of joystick input. Off: Shake will only be on axis that are not getting input from joystick, once input from joystick stops that axis will ease into shake again.
Shake Axis
Axis: P / T / R Shake: On / Off
Enable or disable shake on each axis: Pan / Tilt / Roll

Fusion Hub
Off / On
Off: If no Fusion Hub is in line, ensure you have this setting to off. If you have it set to On but have no Fusion Hub in line, you will get erratic gimbal movements. On: For use when you have Fusion Hub on the DJI TX. See below for the new menu items that appear when this setting is On.
Focus Curve
25% / 50% / 75%
Gives you the ability to offset the focus mapping for more precision at one end of the lens' focus range.
Similar to Near/Far setting on your Canon/Fujinon focus demand.
Works with Nucleus-M, M2, Nano II, MĹŤVI motors and Servo lenses.

Change the mapping of iris knob between iris and VND when using Tilta Nucleus M, M2 or Nano II motors. Iris (motor 2) ND (motor 4)
FIZ Handoff
FIZ / FI / F / I
Use this setting to hand off FIZ axis to the Tilta Hand Unit connected to FIZBUSTER (standalone or rear port of Control Deck) FIZ: Focus, Iris and Zoom FI: Focus and Iris (Control Deck still has Zoom) F: Focus (Control Deck still has Iris and Zoom) I: Iris (Control Deck still has Focus and Zoom)
Servo Link
FIZ / FZ
Allows you to control iris on Servo lenses, or to relinquish iris control to the camera, for auto iris or CCU control. FIZ: You will have Focus, Iris and Zoom on Control Deck FZ: You will have Focus and Zoom on Control Deck
PTR/Zoom Ratio
1:1 - 1:25 (in 1 step increments)
Also known as Zoom scaling, it allows you to set a ratio of how much the pan/tilt/roll axis speeds will lower relative to the zoom position of the lens. Example: Canon 17-120mm, try 7:1 setting. As you zoom in, Control Deck will adjust the axis speeds for a consistent feel and look.
FIZ Calibrate
Calibrate
Remotely trigger calibrate on Nucleus-M, M2, Nano II or MĹŤVI FIZ motors. If the motors have recently completed a calibration, then this may not work.
Required: 6-pin male to 6-pin Female 1B Lemo cable from DJI or Ignite Digi. Power and data. DJI High-Bright combo includes 1 x straight male to straight female cable which can be used. We sell a 10" cable straight to right angle (IG.100391, pictured below) which works really nicely for TX mounted to R2 Accessory mounts.
Use IG.100539 cable to run from Ronin 2 Power Hub to the 7-pin 0B Lemo port on the side of the Focus Pro LiDAR Hub. This passes 14.4V power from the Ronin 2 to the LiDAR Hub/Transmission and control data back to the Ronin 2.
Use IG.100474 cable to run from Ronin 2 Power Hub to the USB-C port on the side of the RS LiDAR Hub. This passes control data from LiDAR Hub/Transmission to the Ronin 2. To power, plug the D-tap of the LiDAR Hub into the R2->D-tap splitter that DJI include with the Ronin 2.
