Collaboration

Control Deck, as well as the other products in the Control Ecosystem are the result of a collaboration between Ignite Digi and our friend Tad Errey (Signal Audio), who is based in Melbourne, Australia. Tad is the programming wizard that enables seemingly disparate products like DJI Transmission and Tilta Nucleus, to all play nice together! 🔥

Introduction

Welcome to the Control Deck Manual. This document is continuously updated as new functions, firmware and accompanying products are released. You can export this as a PDF via the ⋮ in the top right. If possible, we recommend you reference the site though, as then it will never be out of date!

Where to start?

1

Ensure the firmware of your devices is up to date

Mounts

Cheese Block Mounted to the back of Control Deck, you will find the Cheese Block. Designed for solid mounting to light stand or other baby pin (5/8" / 16mm) and hex pin spigots.

If you're not running the Pro-Workflow monitor mount, then use the top ¼”-20” or ⅜"-16” threaded holes with Pin-Locks to mount a monitor arm. If not using a stand, you can mount an Arca Swiss or similar tripod plate to the ¼”-20” or ⅜"-16” threaded holes underneath. This may not work, depending on battery plate choice.

6. FLASHLIGHT

The ultra-compact RovyVon Aurora A3 (Gen4) USB-C Flashlight features an aluminium case, impressive 5000K LED with 90+ CRI, max brightness of 650 lumens and four brightness settings - moonlight, low, medium, and high.

How to use the Aurora A3 Flashlight:

1) Lock: rapid click 5 times, the emitter blinks twice.

2) Unlock: rapid click 5 times when the light is locked, the emitter blinks 3 times.

3) Constant on: rapid double click to turn on from the memorised mode, then single click to cycle through moon-low-med-high; press the button for 0.5s to turn off.

***Memory is stored when the flashlight remains on for 3+ minutes.

4) Emergency mode: rapid triple click to turn on the strobe mode, then click to turn off.

The custom made 12-inch / 30cm USB-C Gooseneck keeps the flashlight battery charged and in a pinch could be used to charge a device like a Tentacle Sync or phone.

It plugs into the 30W USB-C Output at the left rear of the case. This deep recessed pocket supports the connector and prevents damage to the port.

Designed for solid mounting to light stand or other baby pin (5/8"/16mm) and hex pin spigots. If you're not running the Pro-Workflow monitor mount, then use the ¼”-20” or ⅜"-16” threaded holes with Pin-Locks to mount a monitor arm.

The 4-inch Tilting NATO Rail allows you to adjust for viewing comfort, and the two bolts attaching the High-Bright Monitor cage ensure no twist.

¼”-20” and ⅜"-16” threaded holes with Pin-Locks on the NATO rail allow you to use SmallHD or other 7" monitors with a Cine Lock or LNK quick releases, in use cases where the the 1st AC wants the DJI High-Bright or you prefer a SmallHD monitor.

The DJI High-Bright Remote Monitor requires the DJI Remote Monitor Expansion Plate (DC-IN / HDMI / SDI). This module is sold separately.

Adjust Pan speed from 0-100 and short press in for Pan axis recenter

Adjust Tilt speed from 0-100 and short press in for Tilt axis recenter. Long press in, when using Inspire 3, will activate 'Tilt to 90° down'.

Adjust roll trim on gimbal to allow for horizon drift. Approx. 3° each way of gimbal adjustment, with a detent in middle for 0°.

This switch turns on the Control Deck and passes power through to the DJI High-Bright Monitor and any accessories.

Short press for Roll axis recenter. Long press to invert tilt direction.

Twist can control either Zoom or the Roll axis. Change the function, or disable the axis in the Control Deck menu.

Premium APEM Joystick means greater accuracy and consistency. Square shape Limiter.

OLED display for showing menu, axis speeds and other functions.

Relevant to 4D and Inspire 3 only, you can place marks on the DJI High-Bright Monitor's Focus overlay. Short press to mark, long press to clear all marks. When using Fusion Hub, short press will crash zoom in for focus check. Short press again and it will quickly zoom back out to your previous focal length.

EXP is a shortcut to toggling on/off the exposure assistance of the DJI High-Bright Monitor You can choose in monitor's menu whether it toggles Zebra, Waveform or False Colour. PEAK is a shortcut to toggling on/off the focus peaking assistance of the DJI High-Bright Monitor You can adjust in monitor's menu the colour and intensity of the peaking.

Short press to toggle the lens between AF (autofocus) and MF (manual focus). Applicable only to Ronin 4D / Inspire 3 / R2 with LiDAR Hub / RS4 Pro with LiDAR Hub

Short press for all axis recenter. Long press to change gimbal modes.

Adjust the gimbal smoothness 0 - 30. This is how much ease in and out the gimbal does to your movements.

Adjust the deadband for the joystick for Pan, Tilt and Roll between 0 - 30. As well as deadband and gimbal smoothness, we offer the operator a choice of joystick expo curves.

Linear — 1:1 input to output, if using this mode you will ride the master rate for more finesse of tilt/pan speed on the go.

Square — provides finer control of lower speed moves, while still being able to run a reasonably high pan/tilt speed.

Cubic — suitable for when you want to run really high speed on tilt/pan, but still have fine control for slow movement.

Long press to enable/disable shake mode. Adjust the scale between 0-30 using the knob. In menu you can enable or disable individual axis. Smoothness setting affects the shake function as well.

A carbon plate protects the USB-C port and button from dust and moisture. Only for !

FAQ

Control Deck FAQ

Cable setup - Ronin 2

Required: 6-pin male to 6-pin Female 1B Lemo cable from DJI or Ignite Digi. Power and data. DJI High-Bright combo includes 1 x straight male to straight female cable which can be used. We sell a (IG.100391, pictured below) which works really nicely for TX mounted to .

Use cable to run from Ronin 2 Power Hub to the 7-pin 0B Lemo port on the side of the Focus Pro LiDAR Hub. This passes 14.4V power from the Ronin 2 to the LiDAR Hub/Transmission and control data back to the Ronin 2.

Use cable to run from Ronin 2 Power Hub to the USB-C port on the side of the RS LiDAR Hub. This passes control data from LiDAR Hub/Transmission to the Ronin 2. To power, plug the D-tap of the LiDAR Hub into the R2->D-tap splitter that DJI include with the Ronin 2.

Does the High-Bright have the same or more range than RC Plus with Inspire 3?

In FCC mode, the High-Bright should have more range than the RC Plus, with higher gain in it's TX for control, plus the ability to separate the antennas and get them above head height. In CE/SRRC/MIC mode, they both have the same limits. In reality, we have found that the Inspire 3 throttles the transmission data rate to both RC Plus and High-bright simultaneously to keep connection. So you should have connection on both until you don't have any connection at all. Transmission info from DJI: RC Plus 2.4 GHz: <26 dBm (FCC), <20 dBm (CE/SRRC/MIC) 5.1 GHz (FPV camera video feed): <26 dBm (FCC), <23 dBm (CE/SRRC/MIC) 5.8 GHz: <26 dBm (FCC/SRRC), <14 dBm (CE)

High-Bright 2.4 GHz: <33 dBm (FCC), <20 dBm (CE/SRRC/MIC) 5.8 GHz: <33 dBm (FCC), <14 dBm (CE), <23 dBm (SRRC)

The zip file above contains V2.3 production firmware for Control Deck, Fusion Hub, FIZBUSTER and CANBUSTER. To view the update process For those wanting to update Fusion Hub to the TORQ/TITAN LT Beta firmware For those wanting to update Servo Link <- firmware and process

Any of these products purchased after 18th June 2026, will not need updating!

General
  • Added ability for Control Deck to connect to IP Link for Control Ecosystem

  • Added ability to use DJI High-Bright Monitor's Gyro Mode with non DJI gimbals (MōVI Pro, XL, Basecam, Titan LT and TORQ). Fusion Hub required This works alongside FIZBUSTER, so a 1st AC can still be controlling FIZ through DJI Transmission.

Ronin 4D / Inspire 3

  • Crash bug fixed for Control Deck when using Inspire 3/4D: no more random control dropouts!

  • Fixed bug where 0 on pan and tilt setting could still have some input from joystick with Inspire 3

Ronin 2
  • R/S Bug fixes for Control Deck, CANBUSTER and FIZBUSTER

  • 24.07.2026: New Fusion Hub file added to .zip to correct bug for RS3/4 Pro and Ronin 2, getting drift randomly.

RS3 Pro / RS4 Pro
  • R/S Bug fixes for Control Deck, CANBUSTER and FIZBUSTER

  • 24.07.2026: New Fusion Hub file added to .zip to correct bug for RS3/4 Pro and Ronin 2, getting drift randomly.

MōVI Pro / MōVI XL / MōVI Carbon (Requires Fusion Hub!)
  • Refined the User profiles: U1: Dual Op U2: Majestic Pan + Roll (Remote Tilt) U3: Kill motors U4: Majestic Roll (Pan + Tilt remote) U5: Majestic Pan + Tilt + Roll (no remote) U4 and U5, you won't have roll trim. There is no way to do Majestic while having a remote input. This is a software limitation on MōVI side.

Servo Link
  • Servo Link firmware and upgrade process is different to other products. You can see how and the file Any Servo Links after 18th June 2026, will have V2.3 preloaded!

  • Added functionality to mix use of Tilta M2 Hand Unit/M2 Grips and Canon/Fujinon Focus+Iris demands. Example: Map the Tilta Hand Unit to just Focus and Iris, then use a Canon Zoom demand. Good use case for wildlife filmmakers who want to limit the focus range to 10m - ∞ for finer control, but previously couldn't when using the Canon focus demand.

DJI Transmission Overview

The Control Ecosystem can be overwhelming, but these flow diagrams can help you understand the function of each product, where they sit, and how they interact with each other.

Above you can see the Control Ecosystem, with FIZ motors being used from Fusion Hub. Below, Servo Link replaces FIZ motors, to control Cine and Broadcast Servos.

RONIN 2 - Basic and LiDAR Hub

RS4 Pro / RS3 Pro - Basic and LiDAR Hub

Ports

Underneath the Control Deck, showing battery plate (V-Mount, Gold Mount, TB50, TB51), rubber feet and serial number plate. The battery plates use a 3-pin Molex connector, making them user swappable.

6-PIN LEMO DC IN - 11-17V input for external powering of Control Deck and it's accessory ports. Wiring is the same as DJI Transmission and RED DSMC1/2/3 cameras, so if you have any D-tap or 4-pin XLR cables to those cameras, you can use on this port. It's also where the 90W AC Adapter plugs in!

USB-C 30W output This port is recessed to support the USB-C Gooseneck Flashlight, but it also is great for charging iPhones, iPads or even the pilot's RC Plus! Not every USB-C cable will fit into the recessed hole. DJI, Apple and other thin cables will work nicely.

6-PIN LEMO TRANSMISSION - 11-17V and CANBUS out for external powering and control data to the DJI High-Bright. Wiring is the same as DJI Transmission, so any male to female 6-pin 1B Lemo cable, made for DJI Transmission or Control Deck, will work.

7-PIN LEMO TILTA - 11-17V out and data for FIZBUSTER functionality. Only on Control Deck's with serial number #0100 and above have this. Plug in Tilta Nucleus-M I or II hand unit to Control Deck, allowing you to hand off FIZ to 1st AC. Alternatively, mount a Nucleus-M I (II motors don't work yet, Tilta have to do a firmware update) and use that as a wireless hub to connect hand unit via Tilta's 2.4ghz link. This port will output 11-17V to power the Nucleus-M Hand Unit, plus data connection between them.

2-PIN LEMO POWER - 11-17V out for powering accessories such as SmallHD monitor, where you may have given the 1st AC the DJI monitor for focus overlays. Rated up to 5 amp draw. Control Deck's with serial number #0100 and above you will have one 2-pin port. Control Deck's with serial number #0001 - #0099, you will have two 2-pin ports.

USB-C for computer connection - Data only, no power out This port connects to your computer, allowing or to be used as a controller for applications like . The small button above is to put the Controller into firmware flashing mode.

V2.2 Notes

13th October 2025

The zip file above contains V2.2 firmware for Control Deck, Fusion Hub, FIZBUSTER and CANBUSTER

Servo Link shipped with V2.2 preloaded, so isn't included in this update.

General
  • TORQ Head API control, via 5-pin Lemo "MōVI Pro/XL" port on Fusion Hub. Currently in BETA on a separate firmware, get in touch if you'd like to try it out!

  • BaseCam Electronics API control, via 5-pin Lemo "MōVI Pro/XL" port on Fusion Hub. Currently in BETA on a separate firmware, get in touch if you'd like to try it out!

  • Expanded the PTR/Zoom Ratio for Fusion Hub users with Tilta or MōVI FIZ motors, or Servo zooms when using Servo Link. You can set the zoom ratio and as you zoom in, Control Deck will slow down Pan/Tilt/Roll speeds relative to the focal length, so you get consistent joystick feel as the focal length changes. We have 1:1 through to 25:1, in 1 step increments. Example: Try 7:1 for the Canon 17-120mm lens

  • Added Crash Zoom for Fusion Hub users with Tilta or MōVI FIZ motors, or Servo zooms with Servo Link. Press MARK button (far left on Control Deck) to crash zoom in to the end of the lens, either for an effect or to check sharps. Then when you press MARK button again, it will zoom back out to the previous focal length. When CRASH ZOOM is zoomed in, you won't be able to change focal length until you crash back out.

  • Added Focus Curve for Fusion Hub users with Tilta or MōVI FIZ motors, or Servo zooms with Servo Link. Allows you to offset more of the focus knob range on Control Deck to the near or far ends of lens' focus range. 50% is default, linear, no curve. 25% shifts it curve to one end (depending on motor direction) 75% shifts it to the opposite end. Particularly helpful for those shoots where you are working 10' - ∞.

  • Added Off to the Roll Speed menu options. Meaning you can disable roll input on Joystick or Rocker. Roll Trim will ALWAYS remain available! Known Bugs or limitations

  • Nucleus-M II Hand unit EXT port -> FIZBUSTER (Tilta firmware issue) The data stream out of the EXT port has a timing issue that Tilta are aware of and looking at correcting. The bug shows if you move more than one axis on the hand unit at a time, they will interrupt each other, then once you stop moving the axis, the motors will settle into position.

  • Nucleus-M II motor not passing data when used as wireless hub on FIZBUSTER. You can mount a Nucleus-M motor to the FIZBUSTER, make it motor 4 in the settings, then it becomes a wireless hub for your hand unit to connect to via Tilta 2.4ghz. Unfortunately this cool trick doesn't work for Nucleus M II motors currently, as Tilta arent passing data they receive wirelessly, out on the EXT ports.

Ronin 4D / Inspire 3
  • Added function to hand off only Focus and Iris to the DJI Hand unit, retaining Zoom on the Control Deck. Control Deck Menu : FIZ Control : FIZ / Zoom / Off

  • R/S Bug fixes for Control Deck, CANBUSTER and FIZBUSTER Known Bugs or limitations

  • DJI High-Bright monitor (DJI firmware issue) If you want to record proxies to the micro SD card, ensure you have General Setting : Recording Device set to TX+SD

  • Ronin 4D 8K Head (DJI Factory issue) The first time you connect a brand new X9-8K head to a Ronin 4D body, the tilt and roll will be swapped. To correct this factory bug, you must do a factory reset on the 4D. Unfortunately this means you will lose any lens mapping on that 4D body!

  • No touch focus with High-Bright monitor connect to Inspire 3 (DJI limitation) The work around: On pilot's RC Plus, set one of the custom buttons to 'Trigger Focus'. Then on Control Deck hit AF/MF to toggle to AF. Then the pilot can hit the custom button on their controller and trigger the AF point!

Ronin 2
  • Compatibility with Servo Link (Fusion Hub required)

  • R/S Bug fixes for Control Deck, CANBUSTER and FIZBUSTER

RS3 Pro / RS4 Pro
  • Compatibility with Servo Link (Fusion Hub required)

  • R/S Bug fixes for Control Deck, CANBUSTER and FIZBUSTER

MōVI Pro / MōVI XL / MōVI Carbon (Requires Fusion Hub!)
  • Compatibility with Servo Link (Fusion Hub required)

  • Added absolute based control for the gimbals, which means we then now do pan, tilt, roll and all axis recenter!

  • More consistent MōVI FIZ motor setting changes

  • R/S Bug fixes for Control Deck, CANBUSTER and FIZBUSTER

Servo Link

Known Bugs: When changing between FIZ / FZ on Control Deck menu : Servo Link. You may see a delay of up to 30 seconds for the change to happen on Servo Link. We are working on a fix for this in the next update.

Added PTR Direction to give ability to flip Pan, Tilt and Roll directions in Control Deck Menu. Works on all platforms. Long press on joystick button is still a shortcut to flip the Tilt direction.

  • Refined Crash Zoom for Fusion Hub users with Tilta or MōVI FIZ motors, or Servo zooms with Servo Link. If you have zoom on joystick twist axis, then the button on joystick will be Crash Zoom. If you have zoom on rocker, then button 1 (Mark) will be Crash Zoom.

  • Added Joystick Fn which means you can enable/disable input from twist axis and/or the button on joystick

  • Retained Off in the Roll Speed menu options. Meaning you can disable roll input on Joystick or Rocker. Roll Trim will ALWAYS remain available!

  • Motocrane Titan and Titan LT control via NODO API, via 5-pin Lemo "MōVI Pro/XL" port on Fusion Hub. This works for Control Deck, Inertia Wheels (via CANBUSTER), Master Wheels and Gyro Mode on DJI High-Bright monitor. • BaseCam Electronics API control, via 5-pin Lemo "MōVI Pro/XL" port on Fusion Hub. Currently in BETA on a separate firmware, get in touch if you'd like to try it out! Get in touch if you need a cable for this use case! Known Bugs or limitations

  • Nucleus-M II -> LANC R/S cable not passing run/stop to camera, when commanded from Fusion Hub. Motor status will change from REC to STBY fine, but command not going to camera. We are investigating this and hope to have a fix shortly! In the meantime, we recommend using the M1 version of LANC R/S cable from here: https://tilta.com/shop/nucleus-m-run-stop-cables/

  • Nucleus-M II Hand unit EXT port -> FIZBUSTER (Tilta firmware issue) We have continued to request firmware correction for this issue from Tilta! The data stream out of the EXT port has a timing issue that Tilta are aware of and looking at correcting. The bug shows if you move more than one axis on the hand unit at a time, they will interrupt each other, then once you stop moving the axis, the motors will settle into position.

    MōVI Pro/XL

MōVI Pro / XL with Fusion Hub

For MōVI, you will need to have the gimbal on FW2.1, not FW2.3.5. FW2.3.5 has a MōVI API bug where triggering majestic mode does very odd things with the gimbal motors. Use COM 1 port on MōVI! Switching between Majestic, Dual Op or Kill: Button 1, long press (CLEAR MARK): Will switch between Dual Op and Kill motors Button 4, long press (MODE): Will switch between Dual Op control and Majestic Pan + Roll (Remote Tilt) You can also trigger these with R2 User Profile in the menu of Control Deck (this will get renamed soon when we restructure the menus): User 1: Dual Op User 2: Majestic Pan + Roll (Remote Tilt) User 3: Kill motors User 4: Majestic Roll (Pan + Tilt remote) User 5: Majestic Pan + Tilt + Roll (no remote) User 4 and User 5, you won't have roll trim. There is no way to do Majestic while having a remote input. This is a software limitation on MōVI side. You can quickly get out of the menu by long press SETUP (same way you get into menu) That way you can jump out of the menu at the spot you want to jump back into the menu next time (on the same power cycle).

    Cables required:

    IG.100555 or IG.100556 - Control Cable ‣ FUSION HUB to MōVI - 12-inch / 30cm or 35-inch / 90cm

IG.100563 or IG.100564 - Power Cable ‣ D-Tap to FUSION Hub or 2-Pin Lemo to FUSION Hub - 8-inch / 20cm For powering Fusion Hub/DJI TX/FIZ motors, we recommend using the 14V CAM D-tap on MōVI Pro/XL, or if you have Power Expansion Pack, you can use one of the 2-pin 15V ports.

    Ports

7-pin 0B Lemo port - TILTA input Usually running the short cable () from Fusion Hub, which is also mounted on the DJI TX Takes power and data in from Fusion Hub, or Tilta Hand Unit or Tilta Hand Grip.

9-pin 0B Lemo port - SERVO output Servo Lens output. Use one of our 9-pin Lemo to Hirose 10-pin or 20-pin cables to connect your servo lens - Control Cable ‣ Servo Link to Canon 20-Pin Hirose

    - Control Cable ‣ Servo Link to Fujinon 20-Pin Hirose - Control Cable ‣ Servo Link to Fujinon 10-Pin Hirose

    Ports

5-pin 0B Lemo port Underneath CANBUSTER, is the 5-pin lemo port where you plug in the CANBUSTER end of the cable. Control Cable ‣ NODO Inertia Wheels to CANBUSTER is available in 3 lengths: Standard is IG.100465: 24-inch / 60cm Longer is IG.100466: 8ft / 2.4m Custom is available up to 330ft / 100m length, via email

Pogo pins on the rear of CANBUSTER These interface with the DJI High-Bright monitor cage, either side. This passes power from the monitor to CANBUSTER and data between them.

Inertia Wheels ports (left to right as pictured) TX SUB-GHZ (RP-SMA antenna) 3rd Axis (7-pin 0B Lemo) AUX (9-pin 0B Lemo) MAIN USB (micro USB) HARDWIRE (Molex) PWR 10-35V (8-pin 1B Lemo) RX 2.4GHZ (RP-SMA antenna) For CANBUSTER, we utilise the AUX 9-pin port for data to/from the wheels.

Be careful to not plug the 9-pin lemo into the 7-pin 3rd Axis port!
